​We are delighted to welcome you to our haven in the countryside. 
The Hideaway  is situated in the heart of Ireland, in the county of Offaly (Uíbh Fhailí), in the province of Leinster, approximately 1 hour from Dublin and 2 hours from Galway. Offaly is bordered by seven other counties, Westmeath, Laois, Meath, Kildare, Roscommon, Galway and Tipperary making this accommodation ideal as a touring base for visiting the main tourist attractions of Ireland and the Shannon Region as we are situated between the N7 and the M4.

The heart of the Midlands, Offaly offers peace and tranquility. Her ancient bog lands, monastic settlements, rollings fields, waterways, and mountains revive the spirit and sooth the soul.  The Grand Canal flows through on its way to Shannon Harbour and out to the mighty Shannon river, the longest river in Ireland and the Uk. ​

The Gardens

Cloncrane Lodge & The Hideaway share a very large enclosed lawned garden. Plenty of room for children to run and play. Our garden is dotted with many specimen trees and shrubs and has two ornamental ponds. One pond is filled with goldfish and quite deep so they have protection in the winter months. Our second, smaller pond is situated toward the back gardens beside our apple orchard. 
There is garden furniture dotted around so that you can sit, relax and enjoy the peaceful nature that surrounds our homes.

The Hideaway is set in the tranquil surroundings of large gardens overlooking the natural countryside of North Offaly. Our gardens are filled with specimen shrubs, flowers and garden ornaments.
